Milwaukee School of Massage, LLC is owned and administered by Wanda M. Beals, who celebrates over 2 1/2 decades as a massage therapist.

Ms. Beals and her staff bring over a century of combined experience to the MSM educational process. They purposefully make every effort to provide a unique healing environment and a varied learning experience for their students. Academic study and clinical practice are interwoven to reinforce learning ease and relevance.

WANDA BEALS | Chief Administrator

Wanda is owner and administrator of MSM, as well as primary instructor of Swedish Massage Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Sidelying and Anatomy & Physiology. She holds both a Bachelors of Science (1969) and Masters of Science in Social Work from UW-Madison (1971). She also earned certification as a clinician in Transactional Analysis in 1982. She received her training in massage at the Metropolitan YMCA School of Massage (1978). She founded the Milwaukee School of Massage, LLC in December of 1995. She is both administrator and instructor of MSM and the adjoining MSM Graduate Clinic, and maintains a part time private practice. She has been an active member of AMTA since 1978. She was nationally certified by NCBTMB in 1995.

CAROL ALVAREZ | Craniosacral Therapy

Carol is an instructor in Craniosacral Therapy. She is a graduate of the Lakeside School of Natural Therapeutics (1989). In 1994 she was certified as an instructor for Introductory Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. She has been assisting with all CST levels since 1996. She has a private practice in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. She has been an MSM instructor since 1999.

DIANE BLOOM | Reiki Massage

Diane is an instructor in Reiki. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Light Body Graduate, Numerologist, graduate of Katrina Raphaell’s Crystal Academy, graduate of Melody’s Crystal Teacher’s School, graduate of the School for Enlightenment & Healing in San Diego, CA and Lionheart Institute for Transpersonal Healing in San Antonio, TX. She is also the Director of Lionheart Institute - Midwest. She taught Reiki, has an energy healing practice and teaches crystal healing at her store. She has co-written the book THE KISS GUIDE TO CRYSTALS. She has been an MSM instructor since 2002.

CRYSTAL BOYD | Anatomy & Physiology Pathology

Crystal holds an LPN degree (1979) and a RN Degree (1984) from Waukesha Area Technical College. She graduated from the Milwaukee School of Massage, LLC in January of 2005. She has worked in nursing at the Waukesha County Nursing Home & Mental Health Facility (1975-85), Milwaukee VA Medical Intensive Care Unit (1985-1987), and Aurora Sinai Cardiac Unit (1987-Present). She is certified in CPR and ACLS. She maintains a massage therapy practice in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She has been an MSM instructor since 2005.

RICHARD GALLAS | Meditation & Body Awareness

Richard is an instructor in Meditation and Body Awareness. He began his study of Tai Chi Chuan and Meditation in 1978. He has been teaching it since 1988. He studied extensively with Masters Chung Liang and Al Huang. Mr Huang has authored Embrace Tiger Return to Mountain, and Master Fon Ha is featured in the Warriors of Stillness books. Richard emphasizes understanding the relationships of breath, body mechanics, structural alignment and spirit in the wellness of both the client and the massage therapist. He has been an MSM instructor since 2002.

ROSEANNE GORZYNSKI | Movement & Release

Roseanne is an instructor in Movement & Release. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. She has studied Tai Chi since the late 1980's. She has completed advanced Tai Chi Teacher Certification with Tricia Yu and the two year Lionheart Transpersonal Energetic Healing Program (2005). She has a lifelong interest in Somatic Healing. She has been an MSM instructor since 2000.

CHRISTINE KLIM | Thai Massage

Christine in an instructor in Thai Massage. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from MATC (1988). She graduated from Lakeside School of Natural Therapeutics in 1994. She has studied extensively in Thai Massage since 1999. She trained in Thailand in 1999. She has been instructing Thai Massage since 2002. She maintains a private practice in massage therapy, specializing in Thai Massage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has been an MSM instructor since 2002.

SUSAN LORENTZEN | Traditional Chinese Medicine

Susan is an instructor in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Chair Massage. She graduated from Blue Sky Massage School. She holds and associates degree from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Wholistic Health (1999) and a Masters of Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (2004). She maintains a private practice in massage therapy, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and instructs Hatha Yoga. She has been an MSM instructor since 2005.

MARY McCANNA | Benevolent Touch

St. Ann’s Staff instructs Benevolent Touch. Since 2002 Mary McCanna has been the MSM instructor. She is a Registered Nurse and a graduate of MSM (2002).

JULIE SZIVECZ | Neuromuscular Therapy

Julie in an instructor in Neuromuscular Therapy. She is a graduate of Lakeside School of Natural Therapeutics (1991). She was certified in Neuromuscular Therapy in both 1994 & 1997. She maintains a private practice in Rome, Wisconsin. She has been an MSM instructor since 2000.

FRANK TAMAL | Business Practice & Ethics

Frank is an instructor in Business Practice and Ethics. He has over 35 years of experience in business ownership (Wheel & Sprocket 1972-1990), consulting, instruction & marketing. He owns and operates Concepts in Advertising (1990 - Present). He was presented with the AD-Q award for advertising excellence from Hospital Magazine. He has been an MSM instructor since 2000.

SANDRA WOJTECKI TAMEL | Sports/Lymph Massage

Sandra is an instructor in Sports Massage, MFR, Clinical Assessment, Infant Massage, Lymph Massage and Student Presentations. She graduated from the Milwaukee School of Massage, LLC receiving instruction from Inez Van Winkle (1982). She holds an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from MATC (1992). She holds several certifications in the following: AMTA Registered Massage Therapist (1985), AMTA National Exam for Sports Massage Therapist (1994), and Dr. Vodder Manual Lymphedema Decongestion Technique (1998). She has participated in numerous continuing education classes in MFR (MFR I, II, Unwinding & Advanced), CST I & II, Lymph Drainage Technique I & II. Additionally, she has studied in anatomical specific workshops with Robert King, Earl Connor, Christopher Sovereign and Tom Meyers. Sandy has held several state AMTA chapter positions. In 1992 she was the state AMTA Chapter President. She has participated in two Olympic Games as a Sports Massage Volunteer (1985 & 1996). She maintains a full time private practice in Fox Point, Wisconsin. She has been an MSM instructor since 1996.

PAULA WELLS | Muscle Physiology, CPR, First Aid

Paula is an instructor in Muscle Physiology, CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from UW-Madison (1972). She also received her Masters of Science in Physical Education and Leisure Environmental Resources Administration in 1985 from George Williams College. She is a Gold Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (1990) and by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2000). She has been an instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College since 1991, teaching Active Approach to Wellness, CPR & First Aid. She also is an active Personal Trainer at the Wisconsin Athletic Club since 2001. She has been an MSM instructor since 1996.
